
Entry Fees:
Entry fee will be 110.00 per team for all tournaments. (except for the Missouri Championship to be held Nov. 1st 2008).
All entry fees to tournaments must be paid prior to the start of the tournament. Cash only will be accepted at the tournament site one hour prior to tournament.
No team will be allowed to fish with out first paying the entry fee.
MISSOURI A.C.A.T.S. Tournament Officials, Officers, Tournament Directors shall reserve the right to bar or refuse tournament entry or association membership to any person or team.
Once the tournament starts there will be NO refunds on entry fees (No Exceptions)
Payout:
10.00 of each teams entry fee goes to the big fish pot. 100% pay back to one team with biggest fish.
100.00 of each teams entry fee goes to tournament pot. 80% pay back of tournament pot will be paid to the top three teams with the highest total weights.
1. 1st place team= 50% of pot
2. 2nd place team= 35% of pot.
3. 3rd place team= 15% of pot.
All tournaments are open to anyone, except the November 1st Missouri Championship Tournament.
To fish the Missouri Championship tournament you MUST be a ACATS member and have finished in the top 5 during a regular tournament.
.Tournaments are team events. A team consists of no more than two persons. Members of a team must fish together from the same boat. New rule added: A third person may accompany the team provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. Six (6) rod limit rule still applies.
Day tournaments will be 7:00 am thru 3:00 pm. Teams must be at weigh in line by 3:00 pm.
Night tournaments will be 8:00 pm thru 8:00 am. Teams must be at weigh in line by 8:00 am.
At least one member of each team must be present for pre-tournament meeting one half hour before tournament start.
Launching Procedures: Launching will be done by the order in which you signed in. Boats will be released in 30 second intervals to avoid accidents.
No trailering allowed during tournaments.
A chip with your launch number, will be issued to you (at the sign in) before launch.
Weigh-In Procedures:
Your team must have their chip on the table before the weigh-in deadline. Teams not having their chip on the table by that time will not be allowed to weigh their fish.
Going to the weigh-in Line: All fish must stay in the live well until your turn comes to weigh-in. Boats must be trailered and brought by the scales in an orderly fashion. When you reach the scales, All fish will be placed into the weigh-in tub to be weighed.
Only 5 fish per team will be weighed in. All culling must be done before you reach the ramp (no culling permitted at the ramp or weigh in) Anyone with more than 5 fish will be disqualified.
Only Blue, Channel and Flathead Catfish will be weighed in. No foul hooked fish will be excepted.
All tournaments are catch and release. To preserve our resources, all fish brought to the scales will be released back into the body of water from which they came.
No Dead Fish will be weighed and a 10lb penalty will be accessed to your total weight for each infraction.
You may weigh in fish during the tournament at anytime and continue to fish the duration of the tournament
TIES: In the event of a tie, the team with the biggest fish will win. If a tie still exists the team with the most fish will be declared the winner. After that if there is still a tie, a coin toss will decide the winner.
Tournament Rules
All Federal, State and Local Fishing Laws and Boating Regulations for the state we are fishing in must be followed. You are responsible to know these rules prior to tournament. Life jackets most be worn at take off.
No pre-fishing the day of the tournament. You may be on the water to catch bait but no catfishing allowed.
All fish must be caught on a rod and reel only. Anyone using any other method will be disqualified and any and all prizes will be forfeited.
6 Rod Limit per team. Additional rods may be carried in boat but no more than 3 rods per-person can be used at a time.
Any live bait, dead bait or artificial bait may be used. No Chumming permitted..
Fishing from the bank will not be allowed. All teams must fish from a boat.
Fishing within 50 yards of an anchored teams boat will not be permitted. (Respect each others space)
Marker flags will be issued at sign in and must be displayed in teams boat during tournament hours.
NO STRINGERS ALLOWED!
Decoy type bags/floating livewells may be used but most remain with teams boat.
All live wells should be capable of sustaining fish for the duration of the tournament. If you do not have one that is capable of this, you can weigh the fish in during the tournament at anytime and continue to fish the duration of the tournament.
Alcoholic Beverages: The use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
If inclement weather occurs before the Start of the tournament, a vote will be taken by the members present as to fish or not. Safety is a MUST and will come first. No tournament will be canceled without a vote of the members.
By signing the entry form all contestants give A.C.A.T.S. and all sponsors permission to take and use any and all photographs, still and motion. All pictures, negatives and filming done by A.C.A.T.S. or any sponsors are the sole property of them and contestants have no claims written or oral to them.
Protest: All protest brought to the Tournament Director must be in writing with-in 10 minutes of the conclusion of the weigh in. The Tournament Director’s rulings will be final.
All teams please check in at the end of the tournament to make sure all teams are back safe.
A.C.A.T.S., tournament officials and sponsors are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or lost equipment. .
Polygraph Test: Polygraph tests may be performed at random. One member of the team will be chosen to be tested. Any team failing a Polygraph Test will be disqualified. If a team refuses to take a polygraph or fails the Polygraph test they will be disqualified and banned from fishing any and all A.C.A.T.S. tournaments for one year.
ACATS Membership:
Membership is sold as a family membership to all persons living in the same household as Husband/ Wife, Father/ Mother, and all children 17 years of age and under.
Membership cost will be $25.00 annually.
Membership is subject to approval by A.C.A.T.S. President, Vice President and Directors.
Membership fees must accompany Membership Application.
Membership is purchased with the understanding that all Tournament Rules must be obeyed.
Qualifying for the MISSOURI ACATS Championship Tournament November 1st 2008:
You must finish in the top (5) in 1 MISSOURI ACATS regular tournament and be a ACATS member.
All above rules and regulations will apply to Missouri Championship Tournament except:
Championship Enter fee will be 150.00 per team.
Championship Pay out will be 100% of total entry fees plus sponsors prizes.
Championship will pay two positions.
1st Place Missouri ACATS 2008 Champion team will receive 60% of entry fees plus sponsor prizes.
2nd Place Missouri ACATS 2008 Champion runner up team will receive 40% of entry fees plus sponsor prizes.
Other sponsor prizes may be awarded to more positions depending on participation.
